The ECOR Foundation Master's Research Scholarship is designed to provide financial support to outstanding Master’s students who are undertaking impactful and high-quality research in the fields of Earth Science, Environmental Science, Ocean Science, Climate Science, Atmospheric Science, Life Science, and Social Science. The scholarship program aims to nurture the next generation of researchers by offering financial assistance to students who show exceptional academic performance but are facing financial constraints. Our goal is to fund projects that address global challenges, contribute to scientific knowledge, and provide solutions that can benefit both the academic community and society at large. By offering these scholarships, the ECOR Foundation hopes to drive innovations and discoveries in crucial scientific areas, encouraging the research community to explore sustainable and scientifically significant issues.

Manzoor P conducted a comprehensive study on agricultural practices in the coastal sandy soils of Vettam Grama Panchayat, located in Malappuram District, Kerala. The project, supported by the ECOR Mater's Hardship Fellowship, focused on understanding the challenges and adaptive strategies employed by local farmers in the context of coastal soil conditions. It also explored traditional and modern techniques of cultivation, with an emphasis on sustainability and soil conservation practices in coastal agricultural systems.
I am truly grateful to the ECOR Foundation for awarding me the master' fellowship. This support played a vital role in facilitating my research on agricultural practices in the coastal sandy soils, especially in meeting the demands of fieldwork and analysis. The fellowship not only eased financial constraints but also motivated me to pursue my academic goals with greater dedication. I have received the MSC project fellowship award provided by the ECOR Foundation for my project during the year 2021. It really helps me to do my project. I chose the laboratory for my project, which was Kerala Forest Research Institute, Peechi. So I was able to go there and do soil analysis at the soil laboratory there and complete the project well. Shibila Sherin PM investigated the ecological and socio-economic impacts of the invasive water hyacinth species in Karinchapadi, Malappuram District, Kerala. Funded by the ECOR Mater's Hardship Fellowship, this research explored how the invasive plant has affected local biodiversity, water quality, and the livelihoods of communities dependent on the water bodies. The study also aimed at finding sustainable solutions to manage and mitigate the spread of water hyacinth in the region.
I have received an MSc project fellowship award provided by ECOR for my project during the year 2021. It helped me meet all my expenses, like traveling to the study area, data collection costs, and paper publication costs during the course. I am very thankful to the ECOR Foundation for this fellowship. It also helped me to get admission for a training program provided by the government of India-Shibila Sherin PM
