One-Day Field Training on Carbon Sequestration in TreesΒ
Weβre glad to share that the hands-on workshop on βCarbon Sequestration in Trees β Approaches & Analysisβ was successfully conducted on 29 September 2025 at Vanasthali, Kottayam (Kerala).
Organized by ECOR Foundation, the event witnessed the enthusiastic participation of both students and professionals from environmental and forestry backgrounds. The session focused on practical, field-based methods to assess carbon storage in trees and emphasized its significance in climate change mitigation.
Participants engaged in:
π³ Biomass sampling
π Field measurement techniques
π§ Discussions on ecological relevance
πΈ Real-time analysis in natural settings
The workshop provided not just technical training, but also networking opportunities among like-minded individuals passionate about sustainability and conservation.
Every participants will received a certificate of participation, and the day concluded with lively interactions and eco-conscious reflections.
π At ECOR Foundation, we remain committed to fostering field-based environmental learning and empowering the next generation of climate leaders.

Discovering the Biodiversity of Vellar Estuary β Tamil Nadu, India
π Location: Vellar Estuary, Parangipettai
π Date: 27th September 2025
π· Organized by: ECOR Foundation
We are thrilled to share the success of our recent field-based biodiversity exploration event at the Vellar Estuary, a unique estuarine ecosystem rich in flora and fauna.
Led by our expert resource person, Pragati Kamble (Research Scholar, Bombay Natural History Society & ECOR Maharashtra State Coordinator) the event offered participants hands-on exposure to:
π Estuarine biodiversity
π Species identification techniques
πΏ Ecological interactions in coastal systems
The enthusiasm, curiosity, and teamwork from all participants made this experience truly memorable. From early morning sampling to group discoveries, the day was filled with learning and environmental appreciation.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us β your energy and engagement made this a remarkable success!
Stay tuned for more such field experiences with ECOR Foundation. Letβs continue working together for science, sustainability, and conservation.Β
Water Quality Research in Kerala Wetlands
Today, our dedicated student interns collected samples from four different aquatic ecosystems as part of our ongoing water quality research project. This hands-on initiative reflects our strong commitment to beating pollution through science, contributing towards evidence-based environmental policies in India.
This study focuses on one of the least explored wetland regions in Kerala, involving comprehensive sampling from lakes, rivers, wells, and coastal waters.
A special thanks to our passionate interns Ibrahim and Thehsin from CMS College, who actively contributed to todayβs successful fieldwork through the ECOR internship program.
This important project is funded by Biodiversity and Climate Change Research Institute, and we express our sincere gratitude to the directors for their continued support. We remain committed to long-term ecological monitoring to protect and restore our precious water bodies.
Letβs continue to move forwardβone sample at a time, one step closer to a pollution-free aquatic system. π§π±
