Scholarship Benefits:
The ECOR Foundation Master’s Research Scholarship offers significant financial assistance to help students conduct cutting-edge research. Students can receive funding amounts ranging from ₹8,000 to ₹12,500 for research projects in Earth Science, Environmental Science, Ocean Science, Climate Science, Atmospheric Science, and Life Science. For research in Social Science, the funding ranges from ₹4,000 to ₹8,000. This financial support ensures that students can focus on their research without the burden of financial limitations. The scholarship will be disbursed in two installments: the first installment will be released upon approval of the scholarship, and the second installment will be provided after the student submits their first progress report to the foundation. The scholarship aims to fully support the student’s research, from planning through execution.
Application Process:
To apply for the ECOR Foundation Master’s Research Scholarship, applicants must complete and submit a proposal form. The form should include critical details about the project, such as the project title, research objectives, methodology, budget breakdown, and project timeline. In addition to the proposal form, applicants must provide a Bonafide Certificate from their university department, confirming that the project is being conducted within the department. A Reference Letter from the project guide or academic supervisor should also be submitted, verifying the applicant’s academic standing and the viability of the proposed research. The application must be completed and submitted through the official ECOR Foundation scholarship portal before the stated deadline. The ECOR Foundation will review all submissions and shortlist candidates based on the quality and feasibility of their proposed research. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview as part of the final selection process.
Application Deadline:
The last date for submitting applications for the 2025 scholarship cycle is December 31, 2025. All applications must be submitted by this date. Applications received after the deadline will not be considered. It is important for applicants to ensure that all required documents, including the proposal form, bonafide certificate, reference letter, and any additional materials, are submitted on time. Late submissions or incomplete applications will be disqualified.
Project Monitoring and Reporting:
Upon being awarded the scholarship, students will be required to submit progress reports detailing the status of their research. These reports will provide updates on data collection, research findings, and overall project development. The first progress report must be submitted within 3 months of receiving the scholarship. The second installment of funding will only be released after this report is reviewed and approved by the ECOR Foundation. Students must also submit a final research report at the end of the project, summarizing their research findings and outcomes. The ECOR Foundation will monitor the project to ensure adherence to the original research plan. If the student wishes to change the project’s subject or scope after funding is awarded, they must seek prior approval from the ECOR Foundation. Failure to adhere to the project’s goals may result in cancellation of the scholarship and a requirement to refund the disbursed funds.
Acknowledgment and Ethical Considerations:
As a condition of receiving the ECOR Foundation Master’s Research Scholarship, students must acknowledge the ECOR Foundation in all related work, including their dissertation/thesis, conference presentations, research posters, and any publications stemming from their funded research. Students must ensure that the ECOR Foundation is credited for its financial support in all research outputs. Additionally, the ECOR Foundation offers publication support for students who wish to publish their research findings in academic journals or present their work at conferences. The foundation will assist in preparing manuscripts for submission and help in navigating the publication process.
Furthermore, students are required to maintain ethical research practices throughout the project. All research data and findings generated through the scholarship remain under the ECOR Foundation’s authority. The student may not share the collected data or research results with any third parties or organizations without prior written consent from the ECOR Foundation. The foundation also reserves the right to publish the research findings on its website, with appropriate attribution to the student author(s).
